Robert Ludvigovich Bartini was an aircraft designer and scientist born in 1897 in Austria-Hungary (in present-day Croatia). Robert became a member of the Italian Communist Party in 1921 and eventually lived undercover in the USSR.
In the field of aerodynamics there is something called the "Effect of Bartini."
Someday I would like an effect named after me.
Someday I would like a neon sign named after me.
