When I was a young boy, I played some Monopoly. In Monopoly you can "mortgage" your property. That means you turn the card over and get cash money for it. This was usually a sign that you were in trouble, maybe even close to losing the game.
Nowadays I know that a mortgage is a loan that helps you buy a house.
In many ways, Monopoly gave me a skewed impression of how the real world works.
